Who is Anita Lynn?
Anita H. Lynn was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, graduating from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1983 with an undergraduate degree in accounting; she received her law degree in 1986 from Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law.
Anita is an AV* rated attorney with a concentrated expertise in Family Law and over 25 years of experience. She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Atlanta Bar Association, and the Cobb County Bar Association, including the Family Law Sections of the Georgia and Atlanta Bar Associations. Anita is on the Executive Board for the Family Law Section of the Atlanta Bar Association, and she was the Editor of the Family Law Newsletter for the Family Law Section of the Atlanta Bar Association from 2008 through 2010.
Additionally, Anita is certified as a collaborative divorce attorney and is a member of the Collaborative Law Institute of Georgia and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.
Anita is a noted speaker and lends her professional expertise to others with insightful public speaking at continuing education seminars, including A Roadmap through Divorce," NBI Institute, 2007; "Advanced Family Law Practice for Paralegals: Handling Financial Issues at a Higher Level," HalfMoon LLC, 2008; "Advanced Family Law Practice for Paralegals: Assisting In Cases Involving Children," HalfMoon LLC, 2010; and "Financial Settlements and Support Issues In Divorce," NBI Institute, 2010. Anita was an instructor at a workshop entitled “Money Matters for Women,” presented in 2011 by Evening at Emory, a division of Emory University’s Center for Lifelong Learning.
While attending law school at Mercer University, Anita was a recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Ethics, and she also received the Moot Court Oralist Finalist Award.
Anita is a proud supporter of The William Breman Jewish Heritage. Anita is also a volunteer fund raiser and on the advisory board for FurKids, an Atlanta-based animal rescue organization.
